-

recipe:

Your favorite bubbly (Champagne or $7 Prosecco)

- or some orange flavored bubbly water for a alcoholic option

Add spiced apple cider (the one from Trader Joe's is a solid option)

Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon + some star anise or a cinnamon stick (can be used as a straw)

enjoy!

"WARM FUZZIES"

This is for those cold winter nights when you need a little extra kick in your drink... Start with your favorite hot cocoa!

Add 2-3 oz peppermint schnapps (or peppermint extract for a non-alcoholic version; NOT essential oils though!)

Or you can add any flavor schnapps you want, or bourbon -- this drink is quite versatile.

Garnish with mini marshmallows and enjoy.

"WE'RE GRADUATING, MULL IT OVER"

For everyone who's graduating mid-pandemic and has no commencement to look forward too #classof2020

Start with a bottle of inexpensive red wine, we recommend a classic: Trader Joe's 2 Buck Chuck (now $2.99 thanks to inflation)

Slice an orange and apple, peal the orange so it's not too bitter.

Spices to add:

  • Cinnamon

  • Cardamom

  • Cloves

  • Star anise

Simmer until the wine starts to bubble, not boil, about 15 minutes to an hour. Strain, add sweetener such as honey or sugar.

Serve it hot, and drink a lot!

Make hot apple cider using the same mulling spice and fruit combo!
